In this workshop, participants will look closely, line-by-line, at the work of some of our greatest writers, and in so doing learn to see their own writing more clearly. Join fiction writer Matthew Thomas, whose debut novel, We Are Not Ourselves, has garnered critical raves. In her review in The Guardian, novelist Helen Dunmore puts it succinctly: “It is clear that Thomas has quarried deep to discover emotional truth and a form and language in which to express it. We Are Not Ourselves took 10 years to write, and justifies every one of them.” Tickets and details are here.
A reading and reception will follow the workshop.
